■ Profile of Fujiko F. Fujio
His real name is Hiroshi Fujimoto. Born on December 1, 1933 in Takaoka, Toyama Prefecture.
He made his debut as a manga artist in 1951 with "Angel Tama-chan." In 1954, he moved to Tokyo with his elementary school classmate Abiko Motoo and began working full-time as "Fujiko Fujio."
The duo disbanded in 1987, and he continued his writing career under the name "Fujiko F. Fujio," mainly focusing on "Doraemon the Movie," ushering in a new era of children's manga.
His major works include "Obake no Q-taro" (co-authored), "Doraemon", "Perman", "Kiteretsu Encyclopedia", and the "SF Short Stories" series.
He passed away on September 23, 1996 at the age of 62. His representative work, "Doraemon," has been translated into 20 regions and 17 languages, and is still read by children all over the world.
