"I’m calling this collection “Victorianna.” It’s Victorian style, but different from what I usually do because there’s hardly any black. It’s all about dreamy colors, and it’s very airy and fresh. I drew inspiration from the Lila De Nobili, a multi-talented artist who did costumes for Nureyev, Visconti films and Italian operas, and painted backdrops for French Vogue shoots. Her work has a lightheartedness and exaggerated femininity that I’m trying to capture in the collection. I've also been looking at a lot of floral hand-frosted pastries.
There’s a lot of soft pastels but they are highlighted with pops of fluorescent details. It’s my take on Nouvelle Bohemian.
